A working girl, northern lights and a Thanksgiving feast

I had to get my camera out for this one, she put on this jacket and hat "Mia going work" she said.

First day out after being sick for a few days, looking a little pale.

King of the moss hill

Waiting for our guests to arrive to celebrate our birthdays. It turned out to be a beautiful night with some nice northern lights dancing in the sky as we stood shoulder to shoulder with friends, eyes wide open to the sky, the fire crackling and the smell of burning cedar filling the chilly air.

Thanksgiving dinner with family.

The little kids table in the corner was the sweetest little set up.

The past few..

The Fall Fair is always a hit, especially with her best friends.

Ready for some birthday party fun!

Minea became a big cousin (again!) to this little bundle of sweetness, Tove.

Minea's hair is finally long enough for little ponytails. She calls it pony hair.

Always has to do up her zipper herself..until she realizes she can't do it herself.

A beautiful walk to the canyon

A walk and snack in the park

Peekabo and a walk to the lake with Elliott.

Minea's birthday party

Minea wanted an "ice peem" party and who are we to deny such a request. We brought a bunch of toppings and sprinkles back from Sweden because they just do that kinda thing better.

Minea was still napping when her first guests arrived (she's kinda nonchalant like that) hence the bed hair.

Then I was all let's all eat sandwiches and fill up on healthy stuff before we eat ice cream. That didn't work, the kids were jumping on the spot circling the sprinkles table like hyenas in the night, so we dove right in.

Ice cream lover number 1!

Opening presents before moving outside for some games and to run off those sugar jitters.

I believe this is cheating.

and this is the face of someone who gives zero youknowwhats. It's my party I'll cheat in the egg game if I want to!

Look at all these mini people, how lucky we are.

I can't wait to see what kind of party she wants next year!

Boar babies, pony rides and our last day in Sweden

Minea hopped on this old school ski-doo, adventure passport in hand..

...said a quick hello to the giant mole with poop on its head...

...and on we went to do some animal watching...

...I'm usually not a big fan of zoos or any establishment where animals are in captivity for the viewing pleasure of human kind but this place is quite amazing. The area is huge, all the animals have so much room to roam (so much that you often don't see them) and a lot of them are rescue animals and wouldn't have made in in the wild anyways...

...saw a couple of mama boar and so many babies. All the animals at this park are native to Southern Sweden...

...Minea took this horse named Blossom for a little ride..

so proud!

..reindeer are better than people..

we also saw brown bears and cubs, wolves, lynx, seals, wolverines and many more. Such a great day, and a little sad since it was our last day in Sweden.
