2 months...

You're officially not two months until Wednesday (my birthday!) but since I have moment to write I will. The last thing I said to Venessa before going to sleep last night was I can't believe I get to spend the whole day with Minea again tomorrow I am so grateful for every moment with you. Every morning you greet us with a huge toothless smile and stretch your little arms up above your head. You are smiling and talking so much now, loud excited noises that makes us laugh and you squint your eyes and blow little bubbles and it's almost too cute to handle.

You are such an awesome sleeper and adventurer (yesterday you went on a cable car across the river) often combining both which makes it so easy for us. You are really loving our walks lately, we walk once sometimes twice a day now and the cool fall air puts you right to sleep, plus we get to bundle you up in cute sweaters and hats and blankets.

You don't mind big sloppy dog kisses or riding in the car, unless you're hungry...if you're hungry and we don't drop everything and feed you within 2 minutes, watch out! (Venessa is the same way, I always have to carry granola bars just in case) Every week I'm putting another onesie or pajamas away because you are growing so fast!

Picking berries, turned out to be a 4 hour adventure, but well worth it. We came home sweaty, tired, with blue fingers and a big bucket of sweet wild blackberries. This will definitely be a new tradition.

Kid style...

One month...

You've been with us for just over a month now and it feels like it's been forever and yesterday at the same time. 

You absolutely love having baths, don't have any patience when you're hungry, obsessed with your soother (uh oh!) and for a couple of weeks you have been 100% cloth diapered.

Your eyes are still a dark dark gray with an almost black circle around them and you have three little rolls of fat on your thighs.

You love being outside, last week we took you for walks, to the lake, had a fire in the yard, crossed the river to pick blackberries, visited lots of friends and you slept through most of it.

fingers crossed, having three families and being lucky...

A couple of night before Minea was born we were invited to an amazing dinner with Kevin's family, ate some of he best food I've had in a long time, took lots of pictures and got absolutely spoiled with presents! We left feeling so, so lucky and grateful! To have three families that love our daughter, who never questioned the way she came to be, never judged, but just supported us and kept their fingers crossed along the way, worried about our safety all those times we had to make the long drives and kept their phones on at night the last weeks of Venessa's pregnancy just waiting. I don't know how we got so lucky!
